Ikke hjemme ved k\u00f8kkenbordet. Ikke p\u00e5 Instagram. Ikke efter en annonce i et magasin. I butikken, foran hylden, med kurven i den ene h\u00e5nd og fem sekunder til at v\u00e6lge mellem otte varianter af det samme produkt.<\/p>\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tallet stammer fra POPAI \u2014 nu Shop Association \u2014 som har lavet gentagne unders\u00f8gelser af forbrugeradf\u00e6rd i fysisk detail. Og det er ikke et gammelt tal der er blevet slidt op af gentagelse. Nyere eye-tracking studier bekr\u00e6fter det: vi er langt mindre rationelle indk\u00f8bere end vi bilder os ind. Vi er impulsk\u00f8bere i langt h\u00f8jere grad, og det har konsekvenser for hvordan brands b\u00f8r t\u00e6nke om emballage, displays og placering.<\/p>\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hvad der faktisk fanger blikket<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eye-tracking forskning fra blandt andet GfK og svenske HUI viser et m\u00f8nster der gentager sig p\u00e5 tv\u00e6rs af kategorier: forbrugeren scanner ikke en hylde systematisk. Blikket falder i en kurve \u2014 typisk fra midten af hylden og lidt til h\u00f8jre, derefter opad, derefter ud i periferien. Det betyder at den klassiske tommelfingerregel &#8220;\u00f8jenh\u00f8jde er k\u00f8beh\u00f8jde&#8221; stadig holder. Men den er ikke hele sandheden.<\/p>\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Forskningen peger ogs\u00e5 p\u00e5 at farvekontrast og formatafvigelse har en st\u00f8rre effekt end mange brands antager. En emballage der afviger fra kategoriens normale farvepalet \u2014 forestil dig et sort produkt p\u00e5 en hylde domineret af hvidt og bl\u00e5t \u2014 fanger blikket op til dobbelt s\u00e5 hurtigt. Ikke fordi den er p\u00e6nere. Fordi den er anderledes.<\/p>\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Det samme g\u00e6lder for displays der bryder med butikkens planogram. Et gulvdisplay placeret i en gangzone hvor forbrugeren ikke forventer at m\u00f8de et produkt, skaber en mikro-afbrydelse i adf\u00e6rden. Den afbrydelse er det \u00f8jeblik hvor impulsk\u00f8bet opst\u00e5r.<\/p>\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De tre zoner der driver impulsk\u00f8b<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Forskning fra In-Store Marketing Institute og flere retailanalyser peger p\u00e5 tre zoner i butikken hvor impulsk\u00f8bsraten er markant h\u00f8jere end gennemsnittet.<\/p>\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Indgangszonen<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De f\u00f8rste 3-5 meter inde i butikken er en overgangszone. Her har forbrugeren endnu ikke sat sig ind i indk\u00f8bslisten. Blikket er \u00e5bent. Et velplaceret display her \u2014 en kampagnepodie eller et s\u00e6sonudstillingsstykke \u2014 fanger opm\u00e6rksomhed f\u00f8r den kognitive filtrering s\u00e6tter ind. Studier viser at salg fra en endecap kan v\u00e6re 5-10 gange h\u00f8jere end fra den samme placering inde i gangen. Forklaringen er enkel: endecappen er synlig fra to retninger, den bryder hylder\u00e6kkens monotoni, og den signaler &#8220;tilbud&#8221; eller &#8220;nyhed&#8221; uanset om den er det.<\/p>\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kassenzonen<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sidste chance. Her har forbrugeren allerede besluttet sig for de store indk\u00f8b, men viljen til at tilf\u00f8je en ekstra ting er h\u00f8j \u2014 is\u00e6r hvis den er lille, billig eller ser indbydende ud. Chokolade, tyggegummi, s\u00e6sonprodukter. Forskning fra Copenhagen Business School peger p\u00e5 at kassenzonens impulsk\u00f8b prim\u00e6rt er emotionelt drevet: det handler ikke om behov men om bel\u00f8nning.<\/p>\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Placering er ikke nok alene<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her bliver det interessant \u2014 og her overser mange brands en afg\u00f8rende detalje. Placering giver synlighed. Men synlighed uden differentiering er bare st\u00f8j.<\/p>\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En unders\u00f8gelse fra Shop Association viste at forbrugere i gennemsnit bruger 3-7 sekunder p\u00e5 at tage en beslutning foran en hylde. I det vindue skal emballagen eller displayet kommunikere tre ting: hvad er det, hvorfor skal jeg v\u00e6lge det, og hvad f\u00e5r jeg. Hvis emballagen ligner alle de andres, vinder den der st\u00e5r i \u00f8jenh\u00f8jde. Men hvis den skiller sig ud \u2014 i format, materiale eller grafisk udtryk \u2014 kan den vinde fra enhver position.<\/p>\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Det er her fysiske materialer har en fordel som digitale medier ikke kan matche. Et display i tr\u00e6 eller akryl med en foliepr\u00e6get logo sender et taktilt signal som en sk\u00e6rm ikke kan. En magnetbox med en \u00e5bningsmekanik der kr\u00e6ver at du l\u00f8fter l\u00e5get med begge h\u00e6nder, skaber en fysisk interaktion der \u00f8ger huskbarheden. Forskning i embodied cognition \u2014 at vores fysiske handlinger p\u00e5virker vores mentale vurderinger \u2014 underst\u00f8tter dette: jo mere fysisk kontakt med et produkt, desto h\u00f8jere er den opfattede v\u00e6rdi.<\/p>\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hvad det betyder for kampagneplanl\u00e6gning<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hvis 70 procent af beslutningerne tr\u00e6ffes i butikken, er det et paradoks at s\u00e5 stor en del af marketingsbudgettet fortsat allokeres til medier der p\u00e5virker forbrugeren f\u00f8r hun overhovedet er i butikken. Det betyder ikke at traditionel markedsf\u00f8ring er spild. Det betyder at den sidste meter \u2014 fra indgangen til kassen \u2014 er undervurderet som konverteringskanal.<\/p>\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De brands vi ser lykkes med instore-kampagner, er dem der t\u00e6nker placering, format og emballage som \u00e9n samlet beslutning. Ikke tre separate budgetter. Ikke et display her og en emballage der. Men en helhed hvor displayet bryder opm\u00e6rksomheden, emballagen holder den, og placeringen konverterer den til et k\u00f8b.<\/p>\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Det er ikke raketvidenskab.
